Thanksgiving celebrations; progress in translating Gospel of Luke in all 5 languages

THE PRICES WRITE December 2020 (PART 1) Thank you for your faithful prayers for us! Due to the increase in COVID cases and the health condition of Todd’s parents, we had to cancel going to Oklahoma City for Thanksgiving. How great our joy (The Prices Write, January 2020, part 1)

How great was our joy when our hands held the first printing of the first of the five translations we have been working on for the last three years: a 684-page book of 50 illustrated Bible stories, printed in parallel columns in the Croatian and Bayash languages, and a 24-page booklet containing the Gospel ofContinue reading “How great our joy (The Prices Write, January 2020, part 1)”

“It makes me so happy to read the Gospel in my mother tongue” (The Prices Write, August 2019, part 1)

I (Todd) recently met with Nedeljko (pictured above), and his daughters, Nataša and Renata to check our translation of Luke 1-11 into the Bayash language, and to test it out with listeners from their village. The other day we translated the first draft of the 21st Bible story in the Ludari language. Several of them have learned to use ParaTExt which is a huge helpContinue reading “Answered prayers & current prayer requests”

Today was the first day for our family to visit a Bayash village not too far from Sisak. We are very thankful for this opportunity. The MCC team and our colleagues did a fantastic job. We had 35 kids and there were a dozen or so adults also listening. We sang songs, did a craftContinue reading “Bible club in new village”

“Roma Decade of the Book”–Apatin, Serbia

Our “Roma Decade of the Book” tour started in Apatin, Serbia. This is a very large Roma neighborhood with 4000-5000 Roma, mostly speaking Bayash. The church was (60+ people) full for the 8 p.m. program. Our team did a great job acting out a powerful story about a crippled Roma girl (told also in theContinue reading ““Roma Decade of the Book”–Apatin, Serbia”
