Being on furlough has given us the chance to get to spend a little time with Pam’s sister, Val, and her dear children, who are living in Texas. We thank the Lord for them. We had playing games and “playing school”.

family time
It was great to have all our kids and my own dad, mom and sister, here for Father’s Day. The last picture is from celebrating a belated Father’s Day with Pam’s dad in Albia; the cat is named “Boots”, and Ariela is suitably attired.

Having friends over, playing in the park
We had three families over to celebrate Mother’s Day and two birthdays and the kids had a great time hanging out.
Daddy date
I love taking these two little guys out for “Daddy dates” on Saturday mornings. It usually includes ice cream or a pastry for them, and coffee for Dad.
Easter with friends

Ariela & Daniel, play time in the park
Daniel’s 7th birthday
Daniel turned 7 on March 19 and celebrated with friends at the home school co-op, including our son-in-law, Stephen Sell, who was visiting from the States. Mom made a volcano cake for him! Later that night we roasted hot dogs over a fire in the back yard. A fun day!
Happy birthday, Pamala!
We had a great time celebrating Pam’s 46th birthday with coffee, a treat and salad at a fancy coffee house nearby, and back at the house with pizza and friends from Bosnia who were visiting!
