He fought the fight; he finished the race
At 5:45 this morning, while my sister, Tracey, was with Dad in his hospice room, she had prayed, “Dear Heavenly Father, please welcome Dad into your loving arms.” She went to his bedside and saw that he had just passed away, as God gently answered our prayers for a peaceful homegoing for Dad. He wasContinue reading “He fought the fight; he finished the race”
Update on Todd’s dad
Thank you for your prayers. My dad, Max Price, is slipping very fast. He is in the hospice house hospital near his home in Oklahoma City and has been sleeping for over 30 hours. His vitals are low and it looks like his body is shutting down. We imagine that he only has hours left.Continue reading “Update on Todd’s dad”
Family update & Bible translation progress
FAMILY UPDATE: Daniel (12) and Ariela (9) are homeschooling as well as enjoying a weekly home school co-op. We’re thankful for this great opportunity to learn and to make friends. They are both excited as they received the parts they wanted in theater class to perform Peter Pan Jr. at the end of this schoolContinue reading “Family update & Bible translation progress”
One year after Matthew’s accident
I’m writing this on January 19th, the one-year anniversary of the day we received the fateful early-morning phone call in Croatia, telling us that Matthew had been in a severe motorcycle accident. Here we are now, one year later, able to look back and see God’s hand and loving kindness through it all. We won’tContinue reading “One year after Matthew’s accident”
Merry Christmas! Counting our 2020 blessings
Merry Christmas from all of us at the Price household. We are grateful that we can be together with most of the family this year. We were also privileged to be with Todd’s mom for her 82nd birthday on December 19th (see pictures below from our recent visit with them in Oklahoma City). Looking backContinue reading “Merry Christmas! Counting our 2020 blessings”
Christmas stroll & Christmas cards
The weekend before last, we had a special treat. We were able to arrange a speaking engagement in Iowa at the same time as the annual Christmas celebration in Pam’s home time, Albia, Iowa. It’s called the Victorian Stroll (with a theme of the Victorian era, on the town square), and we have been manyContinue reading “Christmas stroll & Christmas cards”
The Prices Write (September 2020, part 1)
Thank you for your faithful prayers for us! My (Todd’s) mom (pictured above) and dad both have pretty severe dementia and are no longer able to completely take care of themselves. They are living in their own house in Oklahoma City, and my sister, Tracey, and I are helping them out at this time. ItContinue reading “The Prices Write (September 2020, part 1)”
Matthew to have nerve transfer surgery; van need met!
Thank you for praying. God has graciously answered prayer for our vehicle needs. Through three very generous donors, we received funds to buy a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan with only 13,000 miles and a seven-year full-coverage warranty. We are so grateful for your prayers and God’s provision. Matthew will have nerve transfer surgery the weekContinue reading “Matthew to have nerve transfer surgery; van need met!”
2 out of 3 vehicle needs met!
Just a quick update on our vehicle needs. Thank you all for praying. 1) As I mentioned in the previous update, a car has been given to us by friends, and we are so thankful. It has helped us through a very tight spot and will be a fantastic second card for our family, especiallyContinue reading “2 out of 3 vehicle needs met!”
