Thank you for your faithful prayers for us! My (Todd’s) mom (pictured above) and dad both have pretty severe dementia and are no longer able to completely take care of themselves. They are living in their own house in Oklahoma City, and my sister, Tracey, and I are helping them out at this time. ItContinue reading “The Prices Write (September 2020, part 1)”
Our belongings from Croatia arrived this week, after 2 1/2 months in transit by land and sea. Thank you for praying for that. We’re thankful that the things have arrived safely. Here are some fresh prayer requests. Today we drive to Oklahoma City to visit Todd’s parents. Pray for wisdom and logistics as we helpContinue reading “Our shipment arrived; traveling to Oklahoma City and Dallas; prayer requests”
Thank you for your prayers for us. We feel very loved and encouraged! Our trip to the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW-M) Medical Center went very well. Shout out to all the Wisconsinites–they are such kind people! Our trip was uneventful, though tiring since it was two back-to-back nine-hour days of driving. The team of surgeonsContinue reading “Results of Wisconsin trip; waiting for answer on house; Pam and kids returning on 26th”
Thank you for praying for us. Matthew and I are staying at a hotel near the airport in San Francisco. He and I met with the new surgeon at Stanford in Palo Alto, California, this morning. Ariela turned 8 on 8/8! Her theme was unicorns. We had a unicorn cake and played pin the horn on the unicorn. We are so thankful for her and her cheery spirit. She loves Jesus, enjoys singing, playing church, reading her Bible and being around anyone at anytime. She makes friends easily and brings greatContinue reading “Happy Birthday, Ariela”
As you can see in the top two pictures, we enjoyed celebrating Pamala’s birthday a couple weeks ago. We were even able to pull off a surprise party for her during the SHARE conference where good friends whom we don’t get to see often could be there! Speaking of SHARE, we had a great week as we always doContinue reading “Pray for Kirsten’s school application; praise for SHARE & b-day celebration”
We enjoyed a special visit from our friends, the Reichenbergers. Here we are in downtown Budapest. We just ‘happened’ to be in the right place at the parliament building when the guards came out–quite an impressive sight! And don’t you think Ariela’s sunglasses fit the mood perfectly?

One of the privileges of being on home assignment these last few months has been seeing the grandparents. Daniel and Ariela enjoyed visiting Pam’s parents, Mal & Barbie Hughes, in Iowa recently. They played tic-tac-toe, read stories, played with a stroller which belonged to grandma (for over 80 years!), and especially enjoyed the kitties.
