Bible translation progress; Todd’s 60th birthday

The above pictures are of a recent distribution of the New Testament in the Gurbet language on the streets of a town in Serbia. I’m so proud of the Roma Bible translators who work hard not only to translate God’s word, but also to actively share it so more and more people can understand the Scriptures in their heart language. We’re grateful that the NT is finished and printed, and are thankful for the good progress we are making in the OT, currently in 1 Kings.

We praise God that during this last quarter (July-September 2026), we finished checking 2,225 verses, counting the three languages I am working on: Gurbet, Macedonian Arli, and Bayash.

During this quarter:

  • on Wednesdays, in the Gurbet language, we finished 2 Samuel and half of 1 Kings.
  • on Thursdays, in the Bayash language, we finished over half of the Gospel of Mark.
  • on Fridays, in the Macedonian Arli language, we finished Revelation, Galatians, and Ephesians.

We’re also excited that the Gospel of Luke is now available in film in two more Roma languages, Arli and Gurbet. These two languages have every verse of Luke dubbed to the LUMO film, and they are available on YouTube (see screen snip below).

We celebrated my 60th birthday on September 21. I’m grateful for these 60 years the Lord has blessed me with and for such a loving and supportive family to celebrate with.

Gratefully,

Todd
