A Year with Samuel Rutherford
The number of good authors and books available is quite overwhelming. It can be all but paralyzing simply to choose what to read, among the plethora of possible options. This year (2017) I plan to spend a year focusing on the writings of a few authors, one of which is Samuel Rutherford. I am drawn to his love for Jesus and intoxication with the “loveliness of Christ”, “the King in His Beauty”, to borrow a few of his phrases. I look forward to a year of learning and hope to share with you, from time to time, gleanings from what I have learned.
