Today was the first day for our family to visit a Bayash village not too far from Sisak. We are very thankful for this opportunity. The MCC team and our colleagues did a fantastic job. We had 35 kids and there were a dozen or so adults also listening. We sang songs, did a craft and activity page and acted out the story of Jesus calming the storm. Our theme was “God is our Refuge; He can save us!”
A special treat was being able to play the audio of a Bible story that we have translated into Bayash with a couple families who were listening nearby. They confirmed that yes, that was their dialect. So this is one more village where we hope the Bayash Bible can one day be used.
